Some users have found that in OS X 10.6 the notes fields are no longer displaying the correct text.  They just say "[full_text:null]".
A user found a workaround and let us know about it.  Apparently the problem is with the default version of Java used in 10.6.  To fix the problem, open your Java preferences (/Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences.app) and make sure that JSE 1.4.2 is enabled.

The application is currently set up to display all custom spell descriptive information as plain text.  The XML/HTML spells database file is in a Java .jar file and is not easily editable.  The primary reason for this is that a single bad character in that file could prevent the application from working correctly.

I'm trying to enter a custom spell and I'm wondering if there is any way to make my description look like that of the standard spells including the table of basic data, etc. I'm comfortable editing xml files if that's what it takes. I just don't much like having different formats for things I enter and things that are in there by default. Thanks!

I finally tracked down the source of the problem.  This will be fixed in the next update.

Thanks for catching that.  This was a bug.  I have fixed it for the next update.  I hope to release the update within a few weeks.

Ah, yes:  the +1 level issue.  Currently it's not something that's supported with custom classes.  There are some core prestige classes where it's used but custom classes are set up quite differently internally and I wasn't quite able to make it work for them.  I may try again at some point but I can't promise anything.

Thanks for your interest but unfortunately sales have always been horrible for the SW version of RPG Patsy.  I couldn't justify spending the time on an update at this point.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this. I started with a "longsword +3" with the enhancement at +3. It shows up in the battle tool like this "longsword +3(+3) and has +6 better than a regular longsword. So I take off the +3 and just set the enhancement to +3. Now when I choose primary weapon I have two entries for longsword.
